Qualifiying

The weather was great today.. i wished it will be great for tmr!!

It was qualifying day today.. i was the First to go out qualifying today… i was nervous but i kept cool… when it was time to go into the car i got ready and begin to put on my safety harness , helmet and my alpinestar gloves. Sat in the car and waited for my team manager Kenvin Low to instruct me to get on to the pit lane. I was sitting in the car concentrating on making no mistakes and we went out early and i waiting at the pit exit for quite some time.. it was hot but i kept my cool. the pit marshals even talked to me when i was waiting for the green light to on.

As the green light on i was ready.. and did my outing lap.. i gave the tyres good warm up and let the Cars behind me pass as i got ready for my clean lap.. The tyres were getting gripper and i started to go faster.. reaching the back straight towards turn 15 i begin to do my clean lap.. no mistakes yey.. i did a 2.42 … after that i wanted to go faster.. but something happened… the battery light came off and as i turned the steering wheel it became very heavy….. i had to go back to the pits to figure out the problem.. but it was obvious.. the power steering belt came out. The pit crew quickly fixed the problem and kenvin told me to go do a 1 flying lap..

I exited the pit … did a flying lap… i got a 2.39……. NO way!!

I got a que to go back to the pits .. i felt delighted and as i came out of the car the team was very happy … philppa hugged me and kept squeezing me.. i got high fives from my crew.. it was the happiest time ever!!… i never did such a fast time … previously my fastest was 2.40 .. but doing a 2.39 was even better… i’m hoping tmr during MME i clock even faster!

2nd was puteri.. she managed to get a 2.41 .. WELL done Put!
My other team mate Phillipa did a 2.38.. which was very good.. made our team timing went up as well..

We waited for the results to come out and finally it came out.. we got 2 position on the grid..

I never expected it!… we were happy and gave each other a high 5.. YEAY!

I even got Interviewed by ESPN!!

Seventy Four Entries To-Date For 2008 Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race

Three days before the official closing date, event organizer Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has received a total of 74 entries for the Petronas Primax 3 Merdeka Millennium Endurance race (MME) including a full grid of 20 cars for Class A for production cars above 1900cc.

“As of to-date, we already have 19 entries for the open class; 20 for Class A; 15 for Class B for cars between 1601cc to 1900cc and 20 from cars below 1600cc in Class C. We should be having more than the permitted 77 cars when comes qualifying on August 29,” says SIC Press Officer Azhar Ghazali.

Last year, SIC had a record entry of 103 cars, which was later reduced to 77 for the actual race as according to the maximum number of cars permitted by the FIA circuit license for a rolling start.

In an effort to enhance safety and enjoyment for the fans, SIC had revised the quota for qualifying for the 2008 race with the open class and Class A taking the biggest share with 20 entries each. Class B and Class C, which used to be allowed a maximum of 26 entries each, had been reduced to 19 and 18 respectively.

While the closing date for submission of entries had been set on August 16, the organizers would still accept late entries up to August 28 but with a penalty of RM1000. Registration fees for Class A and the open class are set at RM4,000 while for Class B and C teams pay RM3,500 and RM3,000 respectively.

“If we go by experience and the overwhelming response to the event this year, the number of entries for 2008 should exceed last year’s total of 103. We have a lot of new entries this year and a lot of interest from the international teams,
said Azhar, adding that the entries included two Aston Martin Vantage race cars from Hong Kong and a trio of top Porsche Carrera Cup Asia drivers – William E. Connor, Alain Li and Matthew Marsh.

“The list is very impressive – there’s a host of Porsche RSR and Lotus machines. We will also see the return of the Petronas Syntium Team, which narrowly lost the race last year after leading up to the 11th hour. The Honda Malaysia Racing Team should be favourite again for Class A. The battle in Class B and Class C, on the other hand, have always been close and thrilling. We should be seeing a great race this year,” Azhar added.

Among the men would be an all-ladies team of Red Bull Rookies, which would be making their debut in the race in a Honda DC2 for Class B; featuring Puteri Ayu Jasmin, Norlina Johor, Norbaizura Ruslan and Leona Chin.

my Graduation

Yesterday was my Convocation, i am officially a Bachelors Degree Holder! hohoo!

Mom bought me beautiful bouquet of flowers with a graduation bear in the middle.. so cute!

the ceremony was rather long.. KDU trying to cut cost i think… cram all the University and Diploma and Everything at one shot… started from 9am to 1.30pm…

i felt hungry but i wasnt so hungry actually.. anyway.. i had a hard time trying to fit on the Gown and the sach… haha.. it is not so easy as it looks.. O_o..

finally when i got on the stage waiting for my turn… i kinda almost fell down the steps because it was uneven.. lucky i grab the curtain and got my balance again.. if not.. fall down the stage so embarrassing… ;p

After that i went home so tired and slept for a while.. later in the evening me and Ellie went to KL to meet my other friends at Lemon Garden cafe at Shang-ri La hotel

MY Darling Show Lo… when i saw him at Red Carpet… I went BERZERK!!.. i didn’t even know he was going to attend MTV AWARDS.. Further more.. he Won the Favorite Artist for Taiwan!! im so HAPPY i scream so loud and jumping hehe my sis nearly went deaf from my scream!! WAHAHAHAHA.. i even wave at him in the Mosh pit when one republic was singing .. HE noticed ME .. he turn his head to see if i was waving at him or not haha and he look at me waving at him again then i laugh at myself and hid behind the other pitters … shy already….wakakakaka …… ^_^!!!

Korean Favourite Super Junior also was there… They were really handsome !!! some was kinda Fat… hehe… anyway the one on the front first seat LOOKED really HOT!! WAHAHAHAHA!!
