RedBull Rookies Ready For 1000km Battle

Inspired by their commendable performance in their debut at the Merdeka Millennium Endurance race (MME) last year, the all-ladies racing team RedBull Rookies has now penned their names for the inaugural Sepang 1000km, which is scheduled from June 4 to 6 at Sepang Circuit.
But, instead the company of highly experienced Philippa Yoong, who helped the team to sixth position in Class B in the 12-hour race, ‘oldies’ Leona Chin and Putri Ayu Jasmin Abdul Hamid would now be sharing the Honda Integra DC2 mean machine with newcomers Nur Hayati Omar and Diana Chin.
While the capabilities of Putri Ayu Jasmin and drift queen Leona had been recognized, the driving standard of the 24-year old Hayati and Diana, 22, under real racing conditions had yet to be tested. Chief instructor Kenvin Low of Asia Advanced Driving Academy, however, is optimistic.
“They were the best of a huge number of aspirants. And, both Diana and Hayati had responded well to our training programme. They are both very good drivers … they should provide strong support for Putri and Leona. The whole team is very excited and really looking forward to the race,” added the seasoned MME contestant and SIC’s regular safety car driver.
Immediately after the MME success, Red Bull immediately convened their second search for lady drivers to compete at the MME. But, with changes to the 12-hour race; their focus were immediately shifted to the new Sepang 1000km, which should run up to 10 hours depending on the weather.
Offering two categories of competition, the RedBull Rookies would be challenging the men in Class 1 for cars with engine capacity between 1601cc to 1900cc. The other is Class C for cars with engine capacity below 1600cc
my 8Tv Quickie experience

This the second time i’ve beeen on 8tv quickie,
This Puteri and I, at the Make up set after Make up “CHEESE!”
The first time was way back when i was with rookies 2008, with Lina and Baizura, and Puteri, i was super duper nervous.
This time, i felt a bit better but still was nervous.Nervous about how i will look on TV, how i would sound on TV, my hair will it cover and face? which camera to look at T_T.. it was hard but i really tried!!
However, i tried to overcome it and i became to talk more, but time was not on my side, i couldn’t tell what i wanted to tell in such a short time and i sounded like a dead zOmbie~~!
i will learn from my mistakes, hopefully there are more upcoming Video interviews for me to speak a bit more exciting. hahaha.
Great thing was, i got a Question from a Guy on the phone during the interview( thats what they do on Quickie, ask viewers to call in and ask stuff) so the chap who called in ask about who my favourite F1 Team Driver was,he mentioned he was a big supporter of Ferrari, and i was so eager to tell him i was a fan for Ferrari too especially Kimi Raikkonen,that i blurred it out loud even b4 he was finished his question hahaha.. sorry Mr Winton my bad,
and he had another question for us: ‘ what made us go into this field, something along that line’, before it was my turn to answer, i was thinking of how to answer it and was listening to my fellow team mates answers , i got influenced by thier answers that i said the same thing as them lol.. i wanted to say i am a car enthusiast, but it came out ” i love speed” instead hahaha and i added ” i wanted to show that girls and drive just as good as guys on the track” and wanted to add another line but , i guess time ran out -_-
well i really hope i get more chance to talk, need more practice HAhaaha.. it was a really Great experience to be on 8tv Quickie, i really Salute Belinda and Zher the way the speak and talk. they think alike, finishing each other’s lines, i didn’t wan to be rude or anything, so i let my teammates finished what they had to say b4 i say anything.

Birthday Cake suprise for mommi
ITS MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY TODAY

While she was busy we hid the cake in the front porch, and waited for her to go toilet and bath, we quickly rush the cake to the fridge and hid it there
after that mom finished bathing and was at the kitchen making nestum, and we were sooo worried she might open the fridge,
so i told victoria to stand infront of the fridge and distract mommy, mom wanted to put eggs in the fridge and victoria acted kindly, offered to keep the 3 little eggs in to fridge so funny..
i was laughing .. but i ran away from the kitchen..
later on mom walked into the living room and i ran in to the kitchen to take the cake out.
it was packed in a box, with a CAKE bag..
the CAke bag so fitting that it was so hard for me to take the Cake box out of the bag, rushing for time, i tried to lift up the box repeatedly but the box didn't want to come out, Fiona was distracting mom at the living room with victoria.
i was in the kitchen thinking how am i gonna take the cake out of the bag? and i just ripped the whole Bag in half HAAHAHAHAH
and took out the box and took out the cake and lit the candle..
afterthat i walked slowly to the living room while Fiona says : " mom, do you know what goes nice with ur Nestum? A CAKE!" and we started to sing the birthday song for mom..
mom was so suprised and happy
we were happy too mom blew the cake and we ate a piece each

Fast and Furious Puma – Urban Racer Party
Loads of activities happened,
There was the Puma Skin your Racer contest,
Skin your Kicks contest, Performances by Bboys, really cool rap singers by Those Two and fantastic Dancers.
I was there since 9am in the morning, brought along my Laptop incase i was bored,
Fortunately, i manged to catch a Shockingly Good movie at the Cineleisure – " STAR TREK" i was amazed by the graphics and was stressed by the Climax of the show.. omg.. im amazed!!
I also brought along my Racing suit for the Event in the evening.
Team Red Bull Rookies were there too.. best thing was, we were announced to be part of the Puma Ambassadors Family edi!
Finally , the Skin your Racer Competition results were out,
