HPC track day and Time to Attack Event by ‘(oo)

On MOTHER’s DAY – 9th May 2010
i woke up sooooooooooooooo early in the morning and went missing.. i told mom the day before that i had something on at the track and regretfully told her that i couldn’t spend the morning with her.

By 8am i was already at the SEPANG circuit
as i was attending a HPC Event,
a month before the event i was asked to help out as a volunteered  instructor for the HPC Track day
i went for an interview a few days before the event somewhere in PJ and Jules, one of the taikor in HPC
briefly explained to me what was HPC about and their aims before they could put me in their team of dedicated instructors. i was excited, and also happy that i got to be an instructor, as there aren’t any lady instructors for HPC yet.

Well he told be before hand that being an instructor needs confidence and good communication with your students, that is you need to be affirmative, so i took  his words and assured to him that i will  i do my best.

i was assigned to instruct a MyVi,
well he actually came with is wife, it was his wife that wanted to come for the HPC and being a good husband, he followed her along in his own car. his wife was driving a blue Suzuki.

he was a real safe driver, listened well to instructions and asked plenty of questions,relating to on track and car related subjects.
i guess he finds it hard at the beginning to let a lady instructor teach but after i shared some track experiences, soon he had some trust and we could communicate well.

i know that there were a lot of cars behind the Myvi during the straights and i would like to apologize if i caused such a traffic for the behind cars, it was the fastest the stock Myvi could take, and i wasn’t used to the hand signalling passing move at first. but by the third session, i told him that after turn 14, he would have to move to the side and let the others pass.

It started to RAIN HEAVILY, visibility was like ZERO , during the beginning of the rain, there was a yellow bmw that spun right in front of us at turn 4, luckily we were not too close as to hit him.
there was also a weird looking silver Alfa, passing us very close, right before turn 15.
there was also a car that tried to over take us at turn 15 from the inside apex. i dunno if that was allowed, don’t really remember what car but it was white in colour.

at the end of the day, it was a great experience for me. From what i heard from other instructors, they had quite a tough time with their students some were stubborn and aggressive, luckily for me my student was rather conservative and took instructions well., HAPPY!! yey!

so after the training session we had to go for a debrief in the common room. and after the debrief,  i din get a chance to speak to my student as he left .. :<… i wanted to thank him for being able to take my instructions so well .. well hope he reads this post

So right after the HPC trackday ended, they  TIME TO ATTACK EVENT STARTED.. there were SOOOooo many cars and people.. eventhough it was raining, it didn’t stop them from coming for the event..

i stayed and roaming around to see if any of my friends were around, i also played the simulation game at Remus’s pit and tried to beat the fastest time but sadly was not able to get it .. just a second away.. Arghh..

found a cool video on zth one of the forumers made for the event. GREAT video-graphing and editing..

i should do one next time too .. but  my WONDERFUL VOICE  sure kena laugh at.

after a while , i got hungry and tired, i wanted to head home to see my mommy…

so i went home and wished my mommy happy mothers day.. and she told me..

today is not a special day.. EVERYDAY SHOULD BE  SPECIAL not just ONE DAY.. EVERY OTHER DAY should be be treated with respect and love…the other 364 DAYS!  CORRECT?

Mother’s day is just for people to make extra money.. is a sales  gimmick ..just like Valentines…

i think they should have SISTER’s DAY too.. hehee

don’t bully your sister day… YEY!

so we ate at a far away place in Desa Petaling.. mom wanted to shop for furniture around there.. and so we ate at a restaurant nearby…

the lady at the restaurant told us that we needed to wait 45mins for the food.. WTH!.. so mom said just give us something fast to eat.. so we can go to the furniture shop before it closes.
