Designing my room with Ikea Home Planner

First time i ever tried to furnish my new room. Using The Ikea Home planner.

you can download it from ikea website and it is absolutely free

it really is awesome, user friendly,  and easy to use.

i took a while for the first time i tried it. but once i ot the hang of it. it took me a while to design a room

however, can’t expect much.. the furniture in the ikea home planner is all from ikea, but not all the stuff are in it.

mostly bedroom, workspace and kitchen and dining stuff were there,

if you were planning to have to furnish your living room with sofa and Tv ,  then cannot.

but i like that they have the cupboard PAX all the small items to customise your own wardrobe, with different sliding doors or shleves.

it was really cool plus when u begin to use it. u need to get all ur measurements correct, even the height of the wall needs to be keyed in.

So during my first attemp, i did this

i tried to arrange the bed facing the window of my room,

i posted it on fb but there were comments saying that it’s not good to sleep facing a door / main door/ a window or a toilet.

i was scratching my head, then where to put me bed??

i thought it over and being to move the stuff around and around.

oh, you cant paint the wall colour  or floor either, its not in the software i think. so i used photoshop once i finished with the picture.

anyways, my 2nd attempt looked like this pic below,

i didnt like it.. somehow it dosnt seem cozy as the first design.

plus not enough storage!! i wan more storage

i have a lot of junk to keep

So i tried another design attempt number 3,  this time i adjusted the cupboards and bed and even the  workspace was adjusted..

i showed all my drawings to mom, but she was focusing on Feng Shui kinda stuff.

so ask her to tell me what Way should i face and what way should i not face etc.

so in the end. i shifted most of the things and this how it looks like…

Tadaa!! This is my ultimate room plan!!. with sliding doors everywhere! muahaha!

plus i added a pic of myself on the wall LOL!

and i have my own walk in wardrobe yey!!.. ooh but where is the toilet door??

it is hiding behind the sliding door~~

i think it look better now~

BUT TOTALLY THEMELESS!

haha. mom likes it too. since all the feng shui thingy dun clash~

then mom told me to design her room as well, but the thing she wanted all not ikea-ish,

so i tried google sketch up tool program. it was pretty difficult, im so noob at this sktechup. i wated some you tube videos and my jaw dropped!! it is so amazing how they make stuff to 3d…

even a CAR!! OMG!!

so i started to draw and when i wanted to  colour the floor, the whole entire room turned wood! O_o..

i think some error i made,

this what i did, mom wanted some ZEN/ japanese style, wooden platform flooring and a tea table in the middle o the platform, and a working table facing north~

i was like ok ok.. lemme try and i will show u later.. and after a while i showed what i did..

u are most likely wondering what is that ROUND thing on the wall..

thats a piece of ART..:D

that rectangle thing on the wall, is the aircond, and the thing below it is suppose to be drawer chest.

but after this step i got stuck so i closed the program..

mom say ok, the design look not bad .. YEY!

Next mom told me to design my sister’s room.

she wanted bowling balls to display in her room ( bowler mar)

then im thinking, ermm how many balls she have arr.. later whole cupboard brake!.. GG la

and she like books to read. so i was thinking ok, lemme put “some” book shelves  for her “SOME”!

thats the small shelf for her bowling balls., i think can fit 12 balls , 8 inside and 3 on the top

mom told me she wanted my sister’s room to be blue~ so i began painting it using photoshop…

well i got tired…. so i stopped for a while,

and my friend who is an architech offered to help yey!!@!~

so i’m hoping that my room will be even even nicer than my ultimate room plan!! muahahah!!
